Honouring loved ones and supporting those in distress, the Queenscliff community is coming together for a quiet morning of reflection by the sea.
Shifting the Conversation

Why do we still whisper about the things that hurt us most? Old misconceptions love to linger in the dark. Many people mistakenly believe that talking about distress will somehow plant harmful ideas in a struggling mind, or that speaking up is merely a bid for attention. Reality begs to differ.
Simple, compassionate questions do not increase risk; instead, they offer a lifeline. You do not need a clinical degree or a badge of expertise to save a life. Sometimes, just showing up with an open ear and a willingness to listen is all it takes to pull someone back from the edge of isolation.
Moving Along the Coastline

Can a morning walk change the temperature of a community? Locals are about to find out. Starting near the playground at Manly Lagoon Reserve in Queenscliff, participants will follow the winding coastal path all the way to Shelly Beach and back.
It is a route carved out for quiet reflection, shared grief, and solidarity. Nobody has to carry their heaviest burdens in silence here. While the event costs nothing to join, organisers require attendees to RSVP in advance to ensure every single person feels welcomed, accounted for, and supported.
